⛩ The story of One Piece takes place in an oceanic world where pirates aspire to an era of freedom and adventure known as the " Golden Age of Piracy ". This era was inaugurated by the execution of Gol D. Roger, the legendary King of the Pirates, in Loguetown, his hometown. Although the pirates of the Straw Hat frequently find themselves in disagreement with other pirates, they are considered dangerous individuals by the World Government and the Marine who have put a bounty on their heads for their capture.
