⛩ Griffith is the leader of a band of mercenaries called the Band of the Hawk where he will win many battles.

Then he meets Guts who manages to defeat the entire band, except him. He forces Guts to join his group following a bet between him and Guts , a bet that Griffith wins quickly since it is a fencing duel. Because of the talents of Guts , he will appoint him leader of the cavalry. After the reconquest of several lands, he and the entire band are ennobled by the king.

He will also capture a stronghold and be promoted to general. The Queen tries to assassinate him, in vain, as he remains alive and has her killed by Guts .
