⛩ The Dragonslayer ( Dragon Slayer) is the immense sword of Guts . According to legend, a king desired a sword so powerful that it would be able to kill a dragon and then placed an order for this blade with Godo, the best blacksmith of the time. Godo then forged a monstrous sword with that potential.
But it was so heavy and so imposing that no soldier could wield it. The king took this creation as an insult and banished the blacksmith and his sword. Guts finally gets his hands on it when he fights an apostle at Godo's place. Indeed, his own sword breaks and the apostle throws him into the room where the Dragonslayer is hidden. With this weapon in hand, Guts tears his enemy to pieces. This weapon is probably the trademark of Guts .
According to various observers, the Dragonslayer resembles more of an iron plate than a sword. A little later, Schierke notices that the weapon exhales an aura of death and that it is close to a demonic blade. Because the Dragonslayer has slain a great number of apostles, it has absorbed their supernatural blood, and has in a way become their Nemesis, to the point that this blade is capable of cutting through the most powerful supernatural creatures and deflecting blows and attacks that would shatter the walls of a fortress without suffering any damage.
