⛩ Griffith is the leader of a band of mercenaries called the Falcon Troupe where he will win multiple battles.

Then he meets Guts who manages to defeat the entire troupe, except him. He forces Guts to join his group following a wager between him and Guts , a wager that Griffith wins quickly since it is a fencing duel. Because of Guts 's talents, he names him leader of the cavalry. After the reconquest of several lands, he and the entire troupe are ennobled by the king. He even captures a stronghold and is promoted to general. The Queen tries to assassinate him, in vain, since he remains alive and has her killed by Guts . Later, Guts wanting to leave the brigade, he reminds him that he had wagered his freedom on his sword fight, and that he must face him again to get it back. A fight that Guts wins easily, due to the experience he has acquired over the years, and leaves.

Griffith is too weak, physically and mentally, and forcibly reveals the marks of the wounds he suffered during his year of torture.
