⛩ Kaigaku was the elder of Zenitsu and the first student of the former pillar Jigoro Kuwajima . He started his career as a demon slayer successfully, climbing the ranks quickly however after the events of the pleasure district his entire team was decimated by Muzan, who gave him the choice between transformation into a demon or death.
He chose to join Muzan 's demon army by replacing the sixth demonic moon killed in the pleasure district events. Upon discovery of his transformation, Kaigaku 's master and Zenitsu took their own lives. After the death of his master caused by his elder, Zenitsu filled with rage set out alone seeking vengeance.
Kaigaku unlike Zenitsu is a true genius in wielding the breath of lightning mastering all breaths except the first, this combined with his blood power allowing him to use black lightning makes him an overwhelmingly powerful warrior.
