Regarding his equipment, Guts fights with a gigantic sword called the Dragonslayer . It was forged by Godo, a legendary blacksmith who created this weapon for an ancient king who wanted to defeat a dragon. But the blade was so immense that no warrior in the kingdom was able to wield it.

Later, Flora gives him the armor of the Berserker , which belonged to the Skullknight . While this armor allows Guts to exceed human limits by no longer feeling fatigue, it is also very dangerous. It inflicts immense pain on its wearer and causes them to lose their mind.
