⛩ The Survey Corps is one of three military branches that make up the Paradise Army, along with the Garrison and the Military Police Brigade.
As its name indicates, it is a section specialized in investigations, patrols and external expeditions beyond the Walls regarding Titans, their origins and the study of possibilities for their extermination. It is therefore considered a suicide unit since human beings are supposed to be "powerless" against Titans, and an average of 30% of personnel perish during operations.

Since the Fall of Shiganshina, the Survey Corps has aimed to restore to humanity the freedom it once lost during the Titans' invasion and the destruction of Wall Maria. This is precisely why their emblem features two wings, called the "wings of freedom". Following the revelation in Eren's basement, the Survey Corps turned its attention to the outside world and more specifically to the Marleyan people.
