⛩ The Scout Regiment is one of three military branches that make up the Paradise Army, along with the Garrison and the Military Police Brigade.
As its name suggests, it is a section specialized in investigations, patrols and external expeditions outside the Walls concerning the Titans, from their origins to the study of possibilities for their extermination. It is therefore considered to be a suicide unit since human beings are supposed to be "powerless" against the Titans, and an average of 30% of personnel perish during operations.
Since the Fall of Shiganshina, the Scout Regiment has had the objective of restoring to humanity the freedom it lost during the invasion of the Titans and the destruction of Wall Maria. This is moreover why their emblem represents two wings, called "wings of freedom". Following the revelation in Eren's basement, the Scout Regiment turned its attention to the outside world and more specifically to the Marleyan people.
