⛩ Since the Fall of Shiganshina, the Survey Corps has aimed to restore to humanity the freedom it once lost during the Titans' invasion and the destruction of the Wall Maria . This is precisely why their emblem features two wings, called the " Wings of Freedom ".
Following the revelation in Eren 's basement, the Survey Corps turned its attention to the outside world and more specifically to the Marleyan people and the coming war.
The Battle of Shiganshina is the first real battle between Marley and Eldia in the series. Indeed, we find the Survey Corps opposed to the Colossal Titan , Armored Titan , Beast Titan and the Cart Titan. It was the final act of the Paradis Island Operation. Victory went to Erwin Smith 's forces, at the cost of the deaths of nearly all of them.
