⛩ Zodd meets Guts for the first time while protecting the inner citadel of a Tudor stronghold, massacring nearly fifty members of the Band of the Hawk . The Raiders who storm his halls, before the swordsman enters alone to face him. Guts being furious to find him among the massacred remains of his men, Zodd pushes back the charging swordsman by throwing the corpses of two Raiders with a sword strike. He then advances towards Guts , complimenting his swordsmanship, before the two begin to exchange blows. After wagering his life on a single blow, Guts manages to slice the upper half of Zodd 's blade, cutting the apostle's right shoulder. The rest of the battle is even more epic!
