⛩ Yamato is the biological daughter of Kaido , one of the 4 Emperors, although she has renounced any connection with her father. She is a big fan of Oden Kozuki and worships him so greatly that she wanted to "become Kozuki Oden ". She thus says she became a man, and has herself considered as such, which is accepted by both her father and the Beasts Pirates crew.

The decisions of Yamato put her in deep disagreement with her father, which led her to be imprisoned in Onigashima for much of her life. She befriended Portgas D. Ace during his visit to the Land of Wano. After learning of Ace's death, she waited for the arrival of her sworn brother, Monkey D. Luffy , so that she could join his efforts to overthrow Kaido and then take to the sea with Luffy and his crew. She thus became a major ally of the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance during the Land of Wano Arc.
