⛩ Usopp , also named Pipo in older editions of the manga, is a member of the Straw Hat Crew, holding the position of Sniper. He comes from Syrup Village. Although not a Shipwright, he also took care of repairing the Going Merry (patching its holes with whatever he had on hand). He was later replaced by Franky when the latter and the Thousand Sunny joined the crew, in terms of ship maintenance.
When he was in Syrup Village, he was the Captain of a crew and was known by his crew members as Captain Usopp. He kept this nickname which is part of his famous catchphrases. He dissolved the crew when he went to sea and joined the Straw Hat Crew. He is the son of Yasopp, a member of the Red Hair Crew. His dream is to become a brave warrior of the sea and follow in his father's footsteps, and he believes he can die peacefully once he achieves it. Then he will be able to say: "It's me Usopp !! The valiant warrior of the seas!!".
