⛩ Soshiro Hoshina is the vice-captain of the third division of the defense force and member of the Hoshina family, a renowned clan of swordsmen from the Muromachi period. He is also the younger brother of Soichiro Hoshina .
Soshiro has a strong sense of loyalty towards the Defense Force and feels very grateful to his captain Mina Ashiro for letting him join her division. His sense of loyalty to his role in the force is so strong that deep down he sees it as his only reason to live.
Although his skills disadvantage him against large-sized kaiju, his ability to defeat small and medium-sized kaiju in combat surpasses that of the First Division captain: Gen Narumi.
His older brother and Sixth Division captain, Soichiro Hoshina, declares that Soshiro stands above everyone in the Hoshina family, past or present. As vice-captain, Soshiro is capable of wielding an extremely high amount of his combat suit's power.
