⛩ When Rock Lee was a child and student at the Konoha Academy, he had no talent for ninjutsu and genjutsu. The other children constantly mocked him, convinced that with such shortcomings he would never become a ninja. Yet Lee, far from being discouraged, decided to specialize in taijutsu, the only field he mastered, in order to realize his dream of becoming a ninja. When he finally obtained his genin diploma and Gaï Maito, his new sensei, asked him what his dream was, Lee replied that he wanted to become a great ninja specializing in Taijutsu. If Neji the genius mocked this foolish dream, Gaï did not. Indeed, the master recognized himself perfectly in this child, having also suffered in his childhood from the same shortcomings compared to the genius Kakashi Hatake. From then on, the master and student will be very close, Lee even going so far as to adopt his senior's clothing style and haircut.
