⛩ After his defeat against Kisho Arima, Ken loses his memory and lives under the identity of Haise Sasaki, an assistant inspector of the CCG, as well as the mentor of the Quinx Squad. He finally regains his memory during the Tsukiyama Clan Extermination Operation, during his fight against Eto Yoshimura. After this operation, the ghouls name him the Black Angel of Death . He also cuts all ties with the Quinx.

After his victory against Kisho Arima, during their second and final fight, Eto Yoshimura reveals to him their common plan to form a Ghoul with a scarlet eye that could bring hope to the world of ghouls. He then becomes the new King with the Scarlet Eye and forms the Black Goats, an organization residing until recently in the underground chambers of the 24th Ward. He also marries Toka Kirishima, who is carrying his child.
