⛩ Dr. Gero alias No. 20 is one of the greatest scientists on Earth. He created all the artificial humans of the Red Ribbon Army (except No. 8 which he co-created with Dr. Gero). He is the father of Gebo .
He harbors boundless hatred toward Son Goku who destroyed the dreams of the Red Ribbon . To oppose Son Goku and return to the level of threat, Gero spied on the actions of the heroes in order to collect DNA samples.
His genius allowed him to create formidable artificial humans such as No. 17 and No. 18. During an interview, Akira Toriyama revealed that No. 16 was created from the body of Gero's deceased son who was assassinated by gunshot. He gave him a gentle personality so as not to involve him in battles and not die again. This suggests that despite all his sadism in trying to eliminate Son Goku , Gero could show care for his family, namely his son.
