⛩ Ken Kaneki is the protagonist of the mangas Tokyo Ghoul and Tokyo Ghoul:re.
Formerly a simple human, he was studying Japanese Literature in his first year at Kamii University, living a relatively normal life.
However, things change rapidly after doctor Akihiro Kano transplants the RC Cells of Rize Kamishiro into him, transforming him into an Artificial Ghoul.
He then joins the Anteiku, a café known among Ghouls as a meeting place, as a part-time server. Thanks to the members of the Anteiku, Ken tries to learn to live as Ghouls do and eventually adopts the nickname Eye Patch.
