He is a great martial arts expert and one of the best fighters in history thanks to the Turtle School style that he invented himself. He was trained by master Mutaito and master Karin, and won the Tenka-Ichi-Budokai several times during his youth. Thus he was considered the strongest man on the planet before the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai. Muten Roshi trained Son Goku, Krillin and Yamcha and taught them the Kamehameha. Despite being an experienced mentor with wise and helpful advice, he is a sex-obsessed maniac willing to do anything to fulfill his fantasies.
