⛩ The Scout Regiment is one of three military branches of the Paradise Army, along with the Garrison and the Special Operations Squad. As its name suggests, it is a section specialized in investigations, patrols and external expeditions beyond the Walls concerning Titans, their origins and the study of possibilities for their extermination. It is therefore considered a suicidal unit since human beings are supposed to be "powerless" against Titans, and an average of 30% of personnel perish during operations.

Since the Fall of Shiganshina, the Scout Regiment has aimed to restore to humanity the freedom it once lost during the invasion of the Titans and the destruction of Wall Maria. This is why their emblem represents two wings, called the "wings of freedom". Following the revelation in Eren's basement, the Scout Regiment has turned its attention to the outside world and more specifically to the Marleyan people.
