⛩ Maki enlisted in the Tokyo Army, where she became a soldier and served under Sergeant Takehisa in year 195. During her enlistment, she worked harder than normal soldiers and underwent training far beyond what was required of her. Two years later, having been recruited by Takehisa to join the Special Fire Force Company 8, Maki left the army because she preferred saving people rather than fighting them.

Maki is a second generation, who can control flames at long distance. In doing so, she can hold her own against two third generations simultaneously, being able to extinguish and absorb their generated flames in a giant fireball.

She has been noted to be exceptionally skilled in combat on multiple occasions and was called a witch by Takehisa . She is also very skilled in close combat, as evidenced by her ability to easily disarm Arthur .
