⛩ Guts known as " The Black Swordsman ", is a former mercenary and wanderer of note who travels the world in a constant internal struggle between pursuing his own ends and maintaining his attachments to those dear to him.
Regarding his equipment, Guts fights with a gigantic sword called the Dragonslayer , or dragon slayer. It was forged by Godo, a legendary blacksmith who created this weapon for an ancient king wishing to defeat a dragon. But the blade was so immense that no warrior in the kingdom was able to wield it.
Later, Flora gives him the Berserker armor, which belonged to the Skullknight . While this armor allows Guts to exceed human limits by no longer feeling fatigue, it is also very dangerous. It inflicts immense pain on its wearer and drives him mad.
