⛩ Guts known as " The Black Swordsman " , is a former mercenary and marked wanderer who travels the world in a constant internal struggle between pursuing his own ends and maintaining his attachments to those he holds dear.
Regarding his equipment, Guts fights with a giant sword called the Dragonslayer , or dragon-slaying sword. It was forged by Godo, a legendary blacksmith who created this weapon for an ancient king desiring to defeat a dragon. But the blade was so immense that no warrior in the kingdom was able to wield it.
Later, Flora gives him the Berserker armor, which belonged to the Skullknight . While this armor allows Guts to exceed human limits by no longer feeling fatigue, it is also very dangerous. It inflicts immense pain on its wearer and makes him lose his mind.
