⛩ Asa Mitaka is the main protagonist of the Academy saga. She is a high school girl who became the host of the War Devil , Yoru , making her a possessed person, although she always retains her human personality when she uses her powers and is controlled, which makes her a rare case of a living host.

She attends the same high school as Denji , with whom she tries to start a relationship.

As the host of the War Devil, Asa has the power to transform anything that belongs to her into a weapon. This includes both objects and living beings. In order to activate the weapon transformation, Asa must touch what belongs to her and call its weapon name. The strength of the weapon is proportional to the degree of guilt that Yoru and/or Asa feel for creating said weapon.
