⛩ Yamato is the biological daughter of Kaido , one of the 4 Emperors, although she has renounced all ties with her father. She is a huge fan of Oden Kozuki and worships him so greatly that she wanted to "become Kozuki Oden ". She thus says she became a man, and is therefore considered as such, which is accepted by both her father and the Hundred Beasts crew.

The decisions of Yamato put her in deep disagreement with her father and caused her to be imprisoned at Onigashima for much of her life. She befriended Portgas D. Ace during his visit to the Land of Wano. After learning of Ace's death, she awaited the arrival of her sworn brother, Monkey D. Luffy , so that she could join his efforts to overthrow Kaido and then set sail with Luffy and his crew. She thus became a major ally of the Ninja-Pirate-Mink-Samurai Alliance during the Wano Country Arc.
