⛩ Soshiro Hoshina is the vice-captain of the third division of the defense forces and member of the Hoshina family , a renowned clan of swordsmen from the Muromachi period. He is also the younger brother of Soichiro Hoshina .
Soshiro has a strong sense of loyalty towards the Defense Forces and feels very grateful to his captain Mina Ashiro for allowing him to enter her division. His sense of loyalty to his role in the force is so strong that he sees in the depths of his heart his only reason to live.
While his skills disadvantage him against large-sized kaiju, his ability to defeat kaiju of small and medium size in combat surpasses that of the captain of the First Division: Gen Narumi.
