The demon said it hoped the old man felt responsible, and Makomo , overwhelmed by emotion and without control of his movements, was quickly torn apart by the demon, left to join the ranks of the other children he had already killed.
Despite his death and thanks to the strength of his soul's desire for revenge, Makomo remained haunting the woods where Tanjiro trained, allowing him to become stronger.
