Nearly five centuries ago in the Sengoku era, Kokushibo was a human named Michikatsu Tsugikuni , a former demon slayer and the older twin brother of Yoriichi Tsugikuni.
Kokushibo is also the ancestor of Muichiro Tokito and Yuichiro Tokito and the one who transformed the older brother of Zenitsu Agatsuma , Kaigaku into a demon and joined the Twelve Demonic Moons.
