⛩ Kagome Higurashi, is one of the main characters in this story, is a young girl about fifteen years old, living in the modern world. One day, she fell into a well that was part of the temple where she lives, and found herself in feudal Japan. She would be the reincarnation of the priestess (miko) Kikyo and would have the legendary Shikon no tama (the sacred jewel). It was she who freed InuYasha from the curse that Kikyo had cast on him that pinned him to a tree.
Kagome accidentally breaks the jewel into hundreds of fragments that scatter throughout Japan. With InuYasha , she had to recover all the fragments of the Shikon no tama before they fell into the evil influence of the dark genius Naraku.
Kagome is a cheerful young girl, full of good humor but who can get angry easily, especially against InuYasha . She enjoys playing Cupid by getting involved in other people's love stories.
