⛩ Asakura Hao is the main antagonist of the Shaman King manga and anime series. He was born Asaha Doji in Japan during the Heian era and, after gaining prominence as an Onmyōji, was renamed Asakura Hao . During his third life, he is reborn as the twin brother of his descendant Asakura Yoh . He is the most powerful shaman in the entire series and the current Shaman King.
Hao is a complex and multifaceted individual shaped by a series of difficult circumstances throughout his life. During the Heian era, he lived in the uncertainty of a corrupt and indifferent nobility that plunged the country into chaos and poverty. He saw the world as a sinister and dark place until he met a small demon named Ohachiyo , who taught him all the positive aspects of life. However, after an accident involving Hao 's first Over Soul, Ohachiyo became a permanent part of Hao and cursed him with a dangerous Reishi ability.
