⛩ Kakashi's Team , also known as Team 7 , is a team led by Kakashi Hatake and formed following the promotion of its members to genin. The members were chosen to balance strengths: Naruto , the worst student in his class, would benefit from the intelligence of Sakura and the ninja talents of Sasuke . Sakura, for her part, found herself with teammates made for combat, while Sasuke was forced to work as a team.

When Sasuke deserted Konoha, Team 7 was separated for two and a half years. The remaining members then reunited as Kakashi's Team for the rescue mission of Gaara. Subsequently, Sai replaced Sasuke in the team at the request of Danzô from the Root, and Yamato was appointed as its leader during Kakashi's hospitalization. Although this formation was only intended to be a replacement, all subsequent team missions were led by Yamato.

According to Sakura, Team 7 and Team 10 have the best teamwork potential in Konoha.
